UPSC CPF AC Exam Eligibility Criteria

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Central Police Forces (CPF) exam every year for the post of Assistant Commandants (AC). This exam is generally held in the month of October. This exam is for 753 vacancies.  Out of these, 284 is for BSF, 326 for CRPF, 82 for CISF, 6 posts for ITBP & 55 posts for SSB.

Eligibility Criteria : One must satisfy all the conditions as mentioned below -



  1. Age : The candidate should be at least 20 years old & should not be more than 25 years of age. However, there is relaxation in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC / ST / other backward classes.
  2. Educational Qualification : Should have the degree from a recognized university.
  3. Sex : For posts in CRPF & CISF, both male & female candidates can apply whereas for BSF, ITBP & SSB only male candidates can apply.
  4. NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate : Those having this certificate will be given preference at the time of interview or personality test.
  5. Physical & Medical Standards :
    a. Height & Weight : The height of males should be at least 165cms with chest expansion of 81cms & females be 157cms. Weight of males must be at least 50 kgs & women 46 kgs.
    b. Eye sight : Can have vision of 6/12 corrected by glasses but any other defects are not acceptable.
    c.  Ear, nose, neck, teeth, skin : The candidate should not have any defects related to such organs.

    I am serving in indian army and have been completed 6 years of service . i have a great desire to apply for upsc services through resservation quota , if it is applicabe to me . services like CPF is most liked by me. so send me about this as soon as earliest.
