Tata institute of Social Studies (TISS) was recognized as a deemed university in 1964 by the government of India. Since then, it is expanding continuously in term of education. It offers postgraduate degree courses. TISS is inviting application for admission in M.A/ M.Sc. in Habitat Policy & Practice for the 2011-2013.

TISS Eligibility Criteria :
The interested candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Management, Physics science, Planning law, Geography or social science. Also the applicant must have proficiency in written & spoken English with basic capabilities in Mathematics.

TISS M.A. /M.Sc. application procedure : The candidate can get the application form & brochure by sending a DD of Rs.750/- drawn in favor of Tata Institute of Social Sciences payable at Mumbai, to the Assistant Registrar (Academic). Also it can be downloaded from the official website www.tiss.edu or can be obtained by cash payment at TISS counter. Applications can be submitted online at the official website. Then printout has to be taken & send along with DD of Rs. 750/- to the TISS office.

TISS Selection Procedure : The selection will be on the basis of Written test & interview. Written test is of 100 marks divided in 2 parts. Part I contains Objective questions of 45 mins. The questions will be on verbal reasoning, general awareness & logical reasoning. Part II is of 60 mins. & is ‘Programme- based’. Those who are selected in written test are called for interview.

Centers for written test : Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati & Kolkata.
