TANCET stands for TAmil Nadu Common Entrance Test. It is the entrance test for the admission to postgraduate courses in private/ government institutes of Tamil Nadu. This test is conducted by the Anna university, Chennai. The various centers where TANCET is conducted are Chennai, Erode, Coimbatore, Karaikudi, Vellore, Salem etc.

TANCET Eligibility : One should qualify the following eligibility criteria before applying for TANCET exam :

1. For MBA : For applying for MBA, a candidate should have the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline in 10+2+3/4 pattern or Diploma. The degree must be from a recognized university.
2. For MCA : For applying for MCA, a candidate should have the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline in 10+2+3/4 pattern or Diploma. The degree must be from a recognized university. Also you must have mathematics at 10+2 level or mathematics / statistics at degree or diploma level as compulsory subject.
3. For M.E/ M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan : The candidates should have bachelor’s degree in B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Plan.Those who are appearing in the final exam of the qualifying exam can also apply for the same.
