STMicroelectronics is an Italian-French electronics and Semiconductor manufacturers. It was founded in the year 1957 as Societa Generale Semiconduttori which was later renamed as SGS-Thomson in 1987. The headquarter of STMicroelectronics is in Geneva, Switzerland. the products manufactured by this company are integrated circuits for specific applications, memory microcontrollers and transistors smartcards.

STMicroelectronics Placement Procedure : The selection of the candidates is based on 5 rounds. These are written test, Group discussion, Technical interview and two HR interview.
In the written test, questions are asked on DBMS, Quantitative Aptitude, Unix Basics, Digital electronics, OS, Computer Architecture etc. Those who qualifies the written test are called for Group discussion. In this all the candidates are divided into groups. Each group is given a topic to discuss among themselves. Then everyone has to speak on the topic allotted for at least 1 minute. Then, comes the technical and HR interview.
