St.Xavier’s College is the first autonomous college in Kolkata, West Bengal which is affiliated to University of Calcutta. The college was founded in 1860 by the Jesuits. The college became autonomous in 2006. It is one of the most prestigious and renowned colleges of Kolkata. It is ranked as the Best Commerce College in India.

St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata provides both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. There are 5 faculties in this college. These are Science, Commerce, Arts, Education and Business Administration.

Subjects under each faculty :

  1. Science – B.Sc.(Gen), B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology and Computer Science. M.Sc. in Computer Science, Biotechnology and Physics.
  2. Commerce – B.Com (General), B.Com (Hons.) in E-Commerce, Marketing and Accounting & Finance, M.Com.
  3. Arts – B.A. (General), B.A. (Hons.) in English, Political Science and Sociology.
  4. Education – B.Ed.
  5. Business Administration – BBA Hons.
  6. Mass Communication – B.Sc. in Mass Communication and Videography.

St. Xavier’s College Admissions Eligibility Criteria :

  1. For taking admission in UG courses, the candidates must have passed 10+2 exam with minimum 60% aggregate marks, from a recognized board.
  2. He / She must have the compulsory subjects in 10+2 class which is essential for the course for which the candidate is applying.

St. Xavier’s College Admissions Application procedure : For applying for any course in this college, the candidate has to apply online only through the official website. No other means of application will be accepted.
