Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) invites application from the eligible Indian citizens for the post of Assistant Loco Pilots. The full advertisement is published in employment news dated 30th January  2010.

No. of posts for Assistant Loco Pilot : 14079 (Out of which 7084 are for UR, 2291 for SC, 1196 for ST & 3508 for OBC category)

Last date of applying for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot : 2nd march 2010 till 5:30 PM (for far flung area it is 17th march 2010 )

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot age criteria : should be between 18 to 30 years of age.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot pay scale : Rs. 5,200 – Rs. 20,200/- Grand pay is Rs. 1,900/-

Eligibility criteria : Should be an Indian by nationality. The candidate must have degree of Matriculation or its equivalent under 10 + 2 system or I.T.I. in any of the specific trades recognized by SCVT / NCVT.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Application procedure : The eligible candidates can send their application in prescribed format on a clear A- sheet with fee of Rs. 40/- in the form of IPO / DD in favour of Assistant Secretary of concerned RRB, through post. You can also  apply online at official websites. (women/ minority/ economically backward classes candidates don’t have to pay the application fees)

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Selection procedure : The selection will be on the basis of written exam, Aptitude test &  document & candidature verification.
