RPF or Railway Protection Force is an Indian Paramilitary Force which is responsible for providing the protection to the India Railways. The function of RPF is to ensure the free movement of the railways and to safeguard railway property.

The recruitment of Sub Inspector and Constable are done in the Executive branch and Fire Service Branch of the Railway Protection Force. The Central Selection Board does the recruitment in this case.

RPF Sub Inspector Constable Exam Pattern : There are three stages in the recruitment process. These are Physical Fitness test, Preliminary efficiency test and the written test.
Each candidate has to qualify the height and weight standards which comes under the Physical fitness test. Those who qualifies this are called  for the preliminary efficiency test. Then comes the written test which contains questions on General awareness, IQ, Essay and Current Affairs. Those who qualifies this are called for  the interview and Viva Voce.
