Punjabi University was established in the year 1962 in Patiala. It is the second university which is named after the language. The main objective of this university is to spread the cause of Punjabi language, art and literature. There are numerous facilities provided in this university which can not be found anywhere else.

Various B.Tech Courses Provided in Punjabi University, Patiala : There are 90 seats available every year under B.Tech program. There are 30 seats each in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Also recently, Punjabi University has started a four year integrated course in Television, Production and Media Technology.

Punjabi University Patiala B.Tech Eligibility Criteria : The interested students can get admission in B.Tech course if they get minimum 60% aggregate marks in 10+2. However, students have to clear CET exam to get admission.

Punjabi University Patiala B.Tech Exam Pattern : There is a written exam for admission in this university. There are 300 objective type questions. Each question is of 4 hours and there will be deduction of 1 mark on every wrong answer. The time allotted to attempt these questions are 3 hours. There are questions on Mental Ability, Aptitude, General knowledge and General English.
