KS or Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a government organization which comes under the ministry of human resource development. There are about 1073 schools under this. KVS were started in the year 1965. Since then, Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) have emerged successfully in terms of secondary and senior secondary education. They are also known for promoting national integration.
PGT is Post Graduate Teacher.
KVS PGT Essential Qualification : The candidate who wish to apply for this must have done the Post Graduate M.Sc. course of regional college of education of NCERT or must have masters degree with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university. Also the candidate must have the knowledge of computers.
KVS PGT Selection Pattern : The selection is done through written test / interview. The Preliminary exam is divided into 2 parts and 3 hours is given to solve it. All the questions are Objective type and carries 1 mark each. The First part contains 110 questions on General awareness. Second part consists of 40 questions on English and Hindi language. Those who clears this are called for Main Exam which is a Descriptive test consisting of questions carrying 120 marks. For this also, 3 hours are given.
