NIFT Eligibility

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is one of the most reputed institutes of Design, Management & Technology. It has been granted statutory status under the act of Parliament of India in 2006. Under this act, NIFT has the ability to award degrees & other academic distinctions. It is the best option for those who want to go in the field of fashion, designing, technology, marketing & research.

NIFT Eligibility : NIFT has got many Bachelors & Masters programs. Each course has its own eligibility criteria.
Bachelor Programs

  1. Design -
    a.  B.Design (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication) : The candidate must have passed either 10+2 exam from a recognized board OR, General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at Advanced (A) Level OR, Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
  2. Technology -
    a.  B.F.Tech (Apparel Production ) : The candidate must have passed either 10+2 exam from a recognized board OR, General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at Advanced (A) Level with physics, chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects OR, Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system with physics, chemistry & mathematics as subjects OR, 3-4 years Diploma recognized by AICTE.

Masters Programs

1. Management -
a.  M.F.M. (Master of Fashion Management) : The candidate must have at least 3 years Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or Diploma in Accessory / Fashion Design.

2. Technology -

a.  M.F.Tech (Master of Fashion Technology) : The candidate must have either B.E. or B.Tech degree in Textiles or Apparel or Mechanical or Industrial or production or Electronics or Computer or Information Technology

3. Design -
a.  M.Des (Master of Design) : The candidate should have either Graduation degree from a recognized university in any discipline OR, Bachelor in Applied Arts OR, B.A. (Fine Arts) OR, B.Sc. (Textiles & Clothing) or B.Arch OR, Design Diploma/Degree from NIFT/NID only
