Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Examination is a independent entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. This exam is conducted for admissions to Engineering & Medical courses in various institutes of Kerala guided by CEE.

KEAM Courses Offered : The admission takes place under the following courses -

  • Engineering – B.Tech
  • Agriculture – B.Sc.(Agriculture), B.Sc. (Forestry), BFSc (Fisheries)
  • Architecture Degree courses – B.Arch.
  • Medical – MBBS, BDS, MAMS, BSMS, BAMS
  • Veterinary – BVSc.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria :



  1. Nativity – The candidate must be an Indian by nationality. Those who are not from Kerala are also eligible for the exam.
  2. Age – The candidate should be at least 17 years of age
  3. Academic Qualification -
    a. For B.Sc. degree holders – Those who are applying on the basis of B.Sc. degree should have the degree with either Physics, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry or Bio-chemistry as main subject with any 1or 2 of these subjects as subsidiaries. Also he / she must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Main & Subsidiaries taken together.
    b. Architecture Course – The candidate should have passed either SSC with mathematics as compulsory subject OR, Diploma in any stream OR, International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as compulsory exam. In all the cases, he/she must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
    c. Medical/ Agriculture/ veterinary courses – Should have passed the Higher secondary Examination or equivalent with 50 % aggregate marks in Biology & 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology together.  In order to take admission in BVSc. & AH courses he / she should have passed the qualifying exam with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English together.
    d. Engineering Courses – Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Mathematics separately & 50% marks in Mathematics, Chemistry & Biology taken together.
