Those who have to Engineering or Master’s degree & want to do Post Graduation in IIT have to clear the Joint Management Entrance Test ( JMET ). It is a qualifying exam. The application form has to be submitted online.
JMET Eligibility criteria : There are 7 IIT institutes where JMET score is accepted for admission in Postgraduate courses. The eligibility criteria for different institutes is as follows :

| 1. | IIT Bombay | Master of Management(M.Mgt) | At least 60% (55% for SC/ST) aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in science. There should be at least 6.5 CGPI out of 10 at the qualifying exam. Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible. |
| 2. | IIT Delhi | MBA with focus on Management systems MBA with focus on Telecommunication Systems |
At least 60% (55% for SC/ST) in either Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering or Master’s Degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Sciences. Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible. |
| 3. | IIT Kanpur | MBA | At least 60% aggregate marks in any branch of Engineering or Technology with CGPI of 6 out of 10. For Foreign & NRI candidates, selection is on the basis of academic background & work experience. |
| 4. | IIT Kharagpur | MBA | At least 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in Science or Master’s degree in Science/ Economics/ Commerce with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level. |
| 5. | IIT Madras | MBA | At least 60% aggregate marks with B.E/ B.Tech degree or Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. |
| 6. | IIT Roorkee | MBA | At least 60% (55% for SC/ST) aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering/ Technology or equivalent or Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. |
