JNU is one of the most prestigious & reputed university The School of Life Sciences SLS was established in the year 1970. In order to get admission in this, one has to give the separate entrance exam. This institute conducts its own entrance exam for admission in various courses.

The school of Life Sciences in JNU provides M.Phil, Ph.D & M.Sc. degrees.

Courses at JNU :

  • M.Sc. – In Life Sciences
  • M.Phil / Ph.D. – In Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Develop – Mental Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Bio- Physics, Genetic Engineering, Genetics, Cell Biology, Neurology, Radiation & Cancer biology and Structural Biology.

Entrance Exam Date : Mid May

JNU Eligibility Criteria :

  • For M.Sc. Life Sciences – The applicant should have the Bachelors degree in either Biology, Physical or Agricultural Science / B.Tech with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
  • For M.Phil / Ph.D. – He / She must have the M.Sc. degree in any stream with at least 55% aggregate marks.

JNU Selection Procedure in Life Sciences : The selection is on the basis of written test & interview.

JNU Application Procedure : The interested candidates can get the application form from the university either in personal or by post. If you want by post, then you have to send a request along with the demand draft & a self addressed envelop.
