HIHT University PGMEE Exam

Himalayan Institute of Hospital Trust (HIHT) is a university which conducts Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam (PGMEE) for admission in various MS, MD & PG Diploma courses. This university i is in Uttarakhand. The PGMEE exam usually occurs in the month of January. The exam occurs in Delhi only.

PGMEE Courses available : The various courses available are -

  1. MD Program – Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Radio- diagnosis.
  2. MS Program – Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, E.N.T. & General Surgery.
  3. Diploma Programs – Diploma in Anesthesiology,  Orthopedics, Child Health, Clinical Pathology, Radio-diagnosis and Obstetrics & Gynecology.

PGMEE Eligibility Criteria :

  1. In order to apply for this, candidate should have the MBBS degree from a recognized medical college or a foreign medical degree included in the schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. He / she also have the full registration from the Medical Council Of India (MCI) after completing the compulsory internship.
  2. The candidates who are going to complete the internship till March of the year, he / she is going to take the exam, can also apply for the same. For this, candidate should have the certificate from the head of Institution that he / she is going to complete the internship by March of the year of application.

PGMEE Exam Pattern : The written exam will be of 3 hrs. duration carrying 250 questions. All questions will be objective type. each correct answer will be given 4 marks. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. If the candidate does not attempt the question, no marks will be given nor any mark will be deducted. The question paper will be in English only.
