GMAT is Graduate Management Admission Test. It is an entrance exam conducted for those who want to get admission in Management courses in institutions of USA,  Canada & some other countries. India also has some Management schools that accepts GMAT score.

GMAT Exam Pattern : This is now not a pen- pencil test. It is a computer adaptive test. The duration of this test is 3 1/2 hrs. Questions are divided into 3 parts. These are -
a. Analytical Writing Assessment : In this, you have to write 2 essays in 1 hour.
b. Quantitative Section : There are 37 MCQs under this section on data sufficiency & problem solving. You have to solve them in 75 minutes.
c. Verbal Section : In this there are 41 multiple choice questions which have to be solved in 75 minutes. The questions are on sentence correction, critical reasoning &  reading comprehension.
