The Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts the Engineering Common Entrance Test ECET for admission to the Diploma Holders & BSc Mathematics. This is a good opportunity for all the capable diploma holders for lateral entry. This is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Hyderabad JNTUH on behalf of APSCHE.

ECET Causes admission in the following courses :

1. In 1st year of B.E or B.Tech course in all University Engineering Colleges for specified no. of seats reserved for diploma holders only.
2. In all AICTE approved private Engineering Colleges for admission in 2nd year B.E. / B.Tech (Regular) courses.
3. In 2nd year B.Pharmacy (Regular) courses in all universities & private college.

Those who have done the Diploma in the following course are eligible for ECET :

• Civil
• Mechanical (also includes Automobile, Printing Technology, Packaging Technology & Foot Ware Technology)
• Electronics and Communication. Candidates with special diploma in TV and Sound Technology can also apply.
• Electronics and Instrumentation (including Special Diploma)
• B.Sc., Graduates with Mathematics.
• Electrical
• Computer Engineering
• Bio-Medical Engineering (including Special Diploma)
• Bio-Medical Engineering (including Special Diploma)
• Mining  or Metallurgy
• Chemical (including Sugar Technology / Textile Technology / Ceramic Technology / Leather Technology)
• Pharmacy

ECET Application Procedure : You can apply online at the official website or can obtain the application form & brochure by cash payment of Rs.300 from any post office of Hyderabad.
