Chandigarh police invites online application for the temporary posts of  Constable (Wireless Operators). The interested candidates have to apply online & must have to fulfill some criteria which are listed below.

Age Criteria : The interested candidates must be between 18 – 23 yrs. as on 1st January 2010.

No. of posts : There are 26 posts- 13 for males & 13 for females. (In male posts, 6 are for general, 2 for SC, 3 for OBC & 2 for Ex-servicemen category. In female post, 7 for general, 2 for SC & 4 for OBC category )

Educational Qualification : Should be at least 12th pass with science & maths as subjects.

Physical Standards : For males, height should be 5’7” & chest should be 33” with expansion of 1 1/2 inches. For females, the height should be 5’2”.

Pay scale : Rs. 5,910 – Rs. 20,200/- with Grade pay of Rs. 1,900/-  with usual allowances as admissible from time to time.

Important Dates :
Dates of Online Application : From 1st Feb 2010 to 1st March 2010
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) date : 6th April 2010
Written exam date : 18th April 2010
Computer Test & interview date : 20th April 2010

How to apply : The candidate have to apply online through the official website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in . Then download the hard copy & affix the latest passport size photograph. Then send it along with testimonials & bank draft (in favour of Section officers/Accounts, UT Police Hqrs., payable at Chandigarh) by regd. post to Deputy Superintendent of police, Police Lines, Sec 26, Chandigarh on or before 18th March 2010.
