CIPET stands for Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology. This head of the institute is in Chennai. CIPET was established in the year 1968. Since then, there has been 15 campuses of CIPET. CIPET JEE is a joint entrance exam for admission in under graduate degree programs in CIPET. There are post graduate programs also in CIPET.

CIPET JEE important dates :

CIPET tentative exam date – Mid of July every year

CIPET Application form submission – Starting of June

Starting of session – Mid of August every year

CIPET Eligibility Criteria : M.Tech & B.Tech programs is available in various streams. Below are the streams with their eligibility criteria.

• M.Tech (Plastic Engineering/Technology) – The candidate must be maximum of 35 years of age & should have B.E / B.Tech degree in Mechanical Chemical production / Polymer Plastics Technology / M.Sc. in Polymer Science / Chemistry with Polymer Specialization.
• M.Tech (Nanotechnology) – Again candidate can be maximum of 35 years to get admission in this. He / She must have done B.E./B.Tech in Plastics Engineering/Tech / Polymer / Chemical or M.Sc. in Polymer Chemistry / Physics / Chemistry / Electronics.
• M.Tech (CAD CAM / CAE) – Age should be 35 years maximum with qualification as B.E / B Tech in Mechanical Production Plastics Tech / Engineering / Tool Engineering / Aeronautics / Automobile / Mechatronics.
• B.Tech (Plastic Engineering / Technology) – Age – 21 yrs max. with qualifications as 10+2 with Maths, Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects & has at least 60% aggregate marks.
• Post Graduate Diploma Program in Plastic Processing & testing – For this, a candidate must have a 3 yrs degree in Science with chemistry as one of the subjects. The age of the candidate must not be more than 24 yrs.
• Diploma in Integrated Program Plastic Mould Technology – The age of the candidate must not be more than 19 yrs & should have done 10th Std. with Maths. English and Science as compulsory subjects.
