Central bank of India was founded in 1911 but it was nationalized status in 1969. It is one of the biggest and oldest public sector bank. It has approximately 3500 branches and 270 extension counter across the country. It has its head office in Mumbai.

Central bank of India ( CBI ) has vacancy for 1135 clerks. These vacancies are across the country and not to any specific location. You need to apply online for this job.

Central bank of India recruitment important dates :
1. Online application registration dates – It will start from 9th November 2010 and ends on 8th December 2010.
2. Written examination will be held on 13th February 2011

Central bank of India Clerk eligibility criteria :  
1. As of 1st November 2010, Candidate age should be in between 18 to 28 years
2. Candidate should have either bachelor degree or 60% marks in 10th class or 50% marks in 10+2 class
3. He should have knowledge of English and state language for which he has applied  ( write, read and speak )
4. He should have computer course certificate or should be able to provide within 6 months of joining

Central bank of India clerk selection procedure
Initially candidates should pay an application fee of Rs 250 ( Rs 50 for SC / ST category ) at any of the bank branch and then should fill the online registration form. This must be completed by 8th December 2010. Selection procedure will consist of written test and interview. Written test will have both objective and descriptive type question. Objective question will also carry negative marking for every wrong answer. Shortlisted candidate from this test, will need to appear for interview. Pay scale for these posts are Rs 7200/-/19300.
