Chemistry forms a major part of the every competitive exam of students for science stream. The Engineering entrance exams contain questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Whereas, Medical entrance exams contain questions on Physics, Chemistry & Biology. CBSE Chemistry Exam is of 70 marks for which 3 hours is allotted. There are 16 units under Chemistry syllabus. These are Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles & process of Isolation of elements, P-Block elements, d-& f-block elements, Coordination compounds, Haloalkanes & Haloarenes, Alcohol Phenols & Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones & Carboxylic acids, Organic Compounds containing nitrogen, biomolecules, polymers and Chemistry in everyday life.
