Central Board of Central Education CBSE holds the board exams for std X & XII. Mathematics is a subject from which you can not avoid till last. It forms a important part of the curriculum. Mathematics is there is any stream be it Science, Commerce or Arts. So it is essential that the student has to get good marks in maths in order to make the aggregate good in all the subjects.

The mathematics theory paper of CBSE class X is of 80 marks. Rest 20 marks is of practical. For the theory paper, time allotted is 3 hours. The weight age of marks in each unit are as follows :

  1. Algebra – It is of 26 marks
  2. Commercial Mathematics – It consists of 12 marks
  3. Mensuration –It carries 10 marks
  4. Trigonometry – is also of 10 marks
  5. Geometry is of 22 marks
  6. Statistics is of 12 marks
  7. Coordinate Geometry consists of 8 marks
