Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is 6th largest cellular service provider of the country. It is the state owned telecommunication company of India. The various services provided by this is Universal telecom services, cellular mobile telephone services, internet, intelligent network like televoting, toll free calling etc,  IPTV, 3rd Generation services. This are some of the widely used services.

BSNL JAO Exam Pattern : There will be 2 objective papers of 3 hrs. each.

A. Paper I consists of 2 sections. The first section will be on General English of 100 marks. The  second section is of General Awareness carrying 50 marks. So Paper I will be of 150 marks in total.

B.  Paper II It is of 300 marks. The question will be on Financial management/ cost accounting /Tax & commercial laws. This will be also for 3 hrs.

BSNL JAO Exam syllabus :
Paper I : General English : There will be comprehensions, grammar based questions & vocabulary questions.

General Awareness : Questions will be on national & international current events, politics, economic of the country, reasoning & quantitative aptitude.

Paper II : Financial & Commercial Accounts
A.  Advanced Accounting : topics are company accounts introduction, shares, debentures, final accounts etc. Also cash & fund flow statements.

B. Auditing : Nature, objective and basic principles of auditing .Techniques of auditing physical verification, examination of documents and vouching, direct confirmation, analytical review. Planning and audit, audit programs, working papers, audit process. Valuation of internal controls. Various types of Audit.

C. Financial Management : Goals of Financial Management. Key activities of Financial Management. Relationship of Finance to Accounting and Audit. Organization of Finance Function.

D. Financial Statements : Basic concepts underlying accounting. Balance Sheet. Profit and Loss Accounts. Source and usage of final statements. topics related to balances received and profit and loss accounts. Analyzing financial performance. Financial ratios. Applications of financial analysis. Problems in financial statements and analysis.  Break-even analysis and leverages.

E. Financial Management in public sector enterprises : Capital Budgeting. Long term financing. Working Capital Management. Memorandum of Understanding. Financial Management & Control.

F. Bare Acts : Company’s Act 1956 (with amendments) Contract Act. Partnership Act Payment of Gratuity Act. Consumer Protection Act. Industrial Dispute Act. Sales Tax Act. Payment of Bonus Act
