Andhra Bank was founded in the year 1923 with headquarters in Hyderabad. It was started with the paid capital of Rs.1 lakh and authorized capital of Rs.10.00 lakhs. It is one of the most prestigious public banks in India. Its branches are spread through out the country with a representative office in Dubai and New Jersey.

Today only, Andhra Bank has announced the recruitment of Clerks and PO for various branches.
There are 1000 vacancies for Clerks and 450 posts for Probationary officer (PO).

Pay scale of Clerks and PO in Andhra Bank :

• For PO – It is Rs.14,500 – Rs. 25,700 /-
• For Clerks – It is Rs.7,200 – Rs. 19,300/-

Andhra Bank Recruitment 2011 Important Dates :

• Written test – For PO, it is on 8th May 2011 and For Clerk, written test is on 15th May 2011
• Online application registration dates – from 25th January 2011 to 22th February 2011

Andhra Bank Recruitment 2011 Eligibility Criteria :

1. For PO – The candidate should be at least 21 years of age and should not be more than 30 years. Also, he / she should be Graduate in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidate should have studied computer science and if not, he / she should have the certificate from a recognized university.
2. For Clerks – The candidate must be between 18 – 28 years of age and should have the degree in any discipline or have passed HCS exam with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Also he / she should be able to read, write and speak the local language of the state applied & have the certificate in computers from a recognized university.

Andhra Bank Recruitment 2011 Selection Procedure : The selection of the candidates for the job of PO and Clerks is based on written test and interview. Written test is of Objective and Descriptive types.
