All India radio AIR is the National broadcaster of India  Doordarshan DD. These two are the largest broadcaster of India. DD was started in 1936. Since then, AIR has grown into huge network. Mow, it has 232 broadcasting centres all over the country.

AIR DD recruits Assistant Engineers for Radio / Doodarshan / LPTV relay centres / Kendras etc in the network.

AIR DD Engineering Assistants Pay Scale : They give the salary as Rs.9,300 – Rs. 34,800/- plus the usual allowances.

AIR DD Engineering Assistants Eligibility Criteria :

1. Age : The candidate must  be between 18-27 years of age.
2. Educational Qualification : The applicant must have  3 years diploma in Radio / Telecommunication / electrical / electronics / IT / Electrical Communication Engineering recognized by Government OR, Degree in Engineering from a recognized university OR, Degree with Physics as one of the subjects OR, Diploma in Sound Recording & Sound Engineering as awarded by the Film & Television Institute of India, Pune.
3. Other Requirements : Those having knowledge of wireless or Radio Engineering are preferred.

AIR DD Engineering Assistants Exam Pattern : There will be written test which will be of 2 hours duration at various centres. There will be 200 questions in total for 400 marks. All the questions are objective types. For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. Out of 200, 175 questions will be on syllabus of 3 years diploma courses or B.Sc.(Physics). Remaining 25 questions will on General knowledge & current affairs.
