All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) is conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for admission in  Bachelor of  Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) & Animal Husbandry  (A.H.) degree courses. VCI is responsible for regulation of Veterinary practice, preparation & maintenance of Indian Veterinary Practitioner’s Register, regulation of minimum standards of education.

AIPVT 2011 Important dates :
Date of sale of Application form : from 03.01.2011 To 15.02.2011
Date of online submission of application Form : from 03.01.2011 To 15.02.2011
Last date of receipt of completed application form : 22.02.2011
AIPVT exam date : 14.05.2011

AIPVT eligibility criteria :

  1. The applicant must have at least 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, physics, chemistry & biology as subjects. Also those who are appearing in same can also apply.
  2. Should be an Indian by Nationality.
  3. The age should be at least 17 yrs. before 31st December 2011.

AIPVT ONLINE Application procedure :
* The candidate have to visit the site www.vci-india.in & entry the correct information asked in the form. Then printout has to be taken & after completing it, has to be send with DD of Rs. 800/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/) drawn in favor of Veterinary Council of India – Examination fund, New Delhi by speed/ Registered post to ‘ Controller Of Examination, Veterinary Council of India, A wing, II floor, August Kranti bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi – 110066
* The application form can also be obtained by post by sending DD of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 450/- for SC/ST) at the above address along with the request.

AIPVT exam pattern : The exam will be of 3 hrs. & there will be 200 questions on physics, chemistry & mathematics. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.
